Save a Life: Overdose prevention, response and naloxone training
September 21 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm PDT
Accidental opioid poisonings, aka overdoses, have affected many of us—whether personally, through the people we care about or in the communities we live and work in.
BC’s toxic drug crisis remains a complex and evolving issue, driven by an unregulated supply of highly potent illicit drugs. Our collective compassion, education, and action can save lives.
This workshop is for BCIT students who want to learn to save a life!

By attending this 1-hour session you will:
- Enhance your understanding of the toxic drug crisis and its impacts.
- Be equipped with the skills to identify and respond effectively to an overdose/ accidental drug poisoning.
- Have increased awareness of harm reduction, treatment and recovery supports.
Date: Monday, September 21
Time: 5-6pm PDT
Location: Virtual – Link will be sent to you after registration.
All attendees will be able to pick up a naloxone and harm reduction kit after their attendance at the presentation. Pick up will be available at the Burnaby campus or a kit can be sent to you for pick up at another BCIT campus.
