International Social Club - Open Meeting & World Cup Watch Party!
June 12 from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm PDT
On Friday, June 12 join the BCIT International Social Club for an open club meeting, a free pizza lunch, and a WATCH PARTY for the Canadian national team’s opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup as they take on Bosnia and Herzegovina! Everyone is encouraged to wear red/white to show support for Team Canada. Please see below for more details and make sure to register early if you want to attend!

11:30 – 12:00 > Free pizza lunch for students
12:00 – 2:00 > FIFA World Cup: Canada vs Bosnia and Herzegovina
About the International Social Club
Do you like meeting new friends? Are you interested in learning more about different cultures? Do you have leadership skills? Are you a BCIT student continuing studies this fall?
If you answered “yes” to the questions above, then you might be a great fit for the BCIT International Social Club!
During this open meeting, the club’s Staff Advisor from the International Student Centre will give a quick overview of the club and some of the basics about how clubs work at BCIT. There will be an opportunity for motivated students to take on leadership positions with the club (President, VP – Finance, VP – Marketing & Communications, VP – Events, etc.). A leadership position with a student club is a great way to improve your resume and can help you in your future job search after graduating from BCIT. It is also fine to choose to just be a regular club member if you don’t want to commit to a leadership position.
Club membership is free and all new club members will receive a complimentary club t-shirt!
Interested in the International Social Club but not soccer? No problem at all! Feel free to join for just the club meeting and pizza lunch. Staying to watch the game is totally optional.
Registration & event location
The registration deadline is June 10 (or whenever we reach capacity). However, note that registration is first-come-first-served. Capacity is limited due to the size of the venue so please register early if you want to join!
The event location will be at BCIT campus. The building and room number will be provided in advance to all who register.
