Healthcare Administration - Online Info Session

January 17 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm PST

If you are interested in a career in healthcare administration, this virtual info session is a great place to start! This session will include a presentation done by a subject matter expert and an opportunity for you to ask all your program-specific questions. We will be going over our Healthcare Unit Clerk and Medical Office Assistant programs as well as our Long Term Care Management course.

Healthcare Unit Clerks use business information systems software and have strong client-service abilities, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

The Healthcare Unit Clerk Associate Certificate program is designed to teach applied relevant knowledge about healthcare administration to help prepare you for employment as a Healthcare Unit Clerk. The program includes an 80-hour practicum that allows you to gain real-world working experience.

The courses in the Medical Office Assistant program provide you with the essential skills to take on the everyday challenges and administrative responsibilities of medical offices. Your studies include medical billing practices, electronic medical records, anatomy and terminology, and transcription skills, among other topics. The program culminates with a practicum that provides you with hands-on training and real-world exposure to the day-to-day work environment of a Medical Office Assistant.

This four-course, part-time, online program is designed primarily for staff who aspire to move into leadership positions within the rapidly expanding long-term care industry but is also open to individuals with experience in other industries. The program will provide you with an overview of the key concepts necessary for successful leadership in long-term care.
