Construction Management, Planning and Execution – a South Campus Infrastructure Renewal case study
November 4 from 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm PST

BCIT’s South Campus Infrastructure Project is well underway. This is a complex initiative that combines replacement of underground infrastructure with landscaping, over multiple work areas of the south side of campus.
Delivering such a complex project requires a highly coordinated approach to planning and sequencing.
This lecture, led by the General Contractor for the project PCL, will explore the process of planning and construction management for the SCIR project. This will start with pre-tender construction planning, including coordination with BCIT’s internal partners, and how that transitions into managing construction on site.
The team will also look at how they have used tools like CM Builder and Revizto for visual construction sequencing and GIS mapping as an internal communication tool and contractor resource.
Topics covered include:
- Construction panning and sequencing
- Construction management
- Visual construction sequencing
- Coordination with project partners
