Clinical Trainers' Workshop 2026

November 9 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm PST

Holding Space for Learning:

Preparing Yourself, Your Team & Your Students for Clinical Education

Join us for this year’s Clinical Trainers’ Workshop, designed to support and empower the dedicated clinical partners who guide and mentor our students across hospitals and clinicals throughout the province. This engaging and practical session invites participants to reflect on what it truly means to “hold space” for learning in today’s complex clinical environments.

Through a series of thought-provoking presentations, our speakers will explore key themes that shape effective clinical education, including fostering emotional readiness & psychological safety, supporting learner development across the clinical continuum, embracing the natural “messiness” of learning, strengthening teaching through the thoughtful use of formative and summative feedback, and managing student progress and outcomes.

Whether you are new to clinical teaching or an experienced educator, this workshop offers valuable insights, tools, and shared perspectives to enhance your practice and support meaningful learning experiences for your students and teams.

This workshop is always highly subscribed with available seats filling fast — Register now to secure your spot.
