BCIT SOHS IPE MASTERCLASS - Realizing Resilience: Partnering with Purpose

February 25 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm PST

Patient Partnership in healthcare education is rooted in authentic engagement and shared purpose. Overcoming adversity — including “mental prisons” — offers shareable insights into healing, self-awareness and resilience.

Presented by keynote & motivational speaker Charles Amemiya (https://charlesamemiya.com/my-story/), whose lived experience and powerful story focus on breaking through internal barriers and unlocking personal potential,  this 90-minute virtual Masterclass is offered as a gesture of appreciation for Patient Partners and Faculty who have meaningfully integrated Patient Partner voices into the SoHS curriculum.

The session is designed to:

  • Bridge lived experience and healthcare education goals, emphasizing how resilience and personal growth strengthen Patient Partners’ health and engagement.
  • Provide an opportunity for Patient Partners and faculty to network in small groups
