BCIT is here for you

BCIT Burnaby campus in spring.

As we approach the one-year anniversary of the tragedy at the Lapu Lapu Day Festival in Vancouver, we remember those who lost their lives and hold in our hearts the families and friends who continue to carry this loss. We are especially thinking of the Filipino community and all those affected.

Anniversaries can be tender. They may bring forward memories, emotions, or a quiet heaviness that’s difficult to put into words. Whatever you may be feeling is normal, and you are not alone.

If you or your peers need support, please reach out. BCIT is here for you.

Supports for students

  • BCIT Counselling and Student Development: Free and confidential counselling services are available to all BCIT students, alongside other resources to support wellness and wellbeing.
