BCIT offers an AI-powered assistant to aid with questions about our academic offerings and services. Currently running as a beta project, this assistant is an experimental tool that uses large language model (LLM) technology to answer questions based on content from our public website. We are continuously working to improve its accuracy and usefulness. Please keep the following in mind:
- Experimental nature and accuracy: As this technology is still evolving, the AI assistant’s responses may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date. We encourage you to click through to the reference pages to verify critical information.
- Your privacy and security: Your conversations with the assistant may be recorded for quality control and to improve our services. To protect your privacy, do not share any personally identifying information, such as names, BCIT ID numbers, email addresses, or financial data. This assistant does not have access to private records and cannot check anything related to your accounts.
- Not a substitute for human assistance: This AI assistant is for informational purposes only. It is not a decision-making tool, and its responses should not be considered professional advice. For assistance with personal account issues or complex inquiries, please contact the department or school you’re interested in.
- Limitations and liability: The AI assistant may misinterpret questions or provide unexpected answers due to its technical limitations. BCIT is not liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided by the assistant or for any decisions you make based on its responses. You can review our Privacy Policy [PDF] and our Copyright and Privacy pages for more information.
