Drum Making: Indigenous Culture Workshop

September 22 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm PDT

Experience the rhythm of culture at the Drum Making: Indigenous Cultural Workshop, hosted at The Gathering Place, BCIT. This hands-on session brings you closer to the powerful role drums play in Indigenous traditions.

Led by Indigenous knowledge keeper, Shy Watters, you’ll explore the art of traditional drum making, crafting your drum as you learn. Each drum carries a story, and you’ll uncover the cultural teachings and craftsmanship that make these instruments so meaningful.

This workshop offers more than just a creative activity—it’s an opportunity to connect, learn, and deepen your understanding of Indigenous traditions.

All supplies are provided. Don’t miss this chance to create something truly meaningful.

Registration is required.
