On November 7th, BCIT Institute Sustainability and Centre for Ecocities Director Jennie Moore presented the findings of the SDG Cities Canada Report at the World Urban Forum 12 (WUF12) in Cairo, Egypt. Jennie was the lead author on the report that explores urban challenges facing Canadian cities and their progress on localizing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Jennie also delivered a training on how to write such a report and wrote a training manual at the request of UN Habitat who plans to use the report as a template for similar reports in other countries. This work is part of the SDG Cities Hub, a program run in partnership with the Urban Economy Forum based in Toronto, Ontario. Funding for the report was provided by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, now part of Infrastructure Canada.
