Inaugural Guichon Creek Day (as part of World Rivers Day)

On Wednesday, September 21st from 12:30-3:30pm, BCIT hosted the INAUGURAL GUICHON CREEK DAY to celebrate Guichon Creek and the launch of the Guichon Creek map.  As a people focused organization, BCIT recognized Guichon Creek as a place of wellness where faculty, staff, students and members of the community can connect to nature, peace and tranquility during their busy workday. Efforts to restore the Creek to its natural habitat have been ongoing and will continue to be with future daylighting plans on the north side of campus.

On the INAUGURAL GUICHON CREEK DAY we participated in the Welcome Ceremony, wellness break, interpretative tour, plant and restore session and/or a nature meditation. The INAUGURAL GUICHON CREEK DAY activities kicked off at 12:30pm with the Welcome Ceremony (at Creek behind Recreation Center).
