Further, ICES is unable to provide evaluations for specific schools from some countries that we have listed. The document requirements listed are provided for information purposes only; it does not mean all levels of education are required for assessment. - Many applicants from Benin are surprised to learn that their private institution is recognized by the Conseil Consultatif National de l’Enseignement Supérieur (CCNES), but not their program. In order to receive an ICES recommendation that is comparable to a Canadian credential, a Beninese credential must have both institutional and programmatic recognition. Affiliated college issued marks sheets/results cards will not be accepted. If you have completed study under a Board (i.e. Punjab Nurses Registration Board), please arrange for the awarding board to send the documents directly to ICES. They will not be accepted from the college or university you attended. Please note the mode of delivery (regular/distance education/part-time/full-time) and campus location must also be included on the official documents or in an accompanying letter.
As of June 2022, The International Credential Evaluation Service no longer accepts official documentation from any 3rd party transcript services (such as Truecopy, World Transcript, India Transcripts, etc.). Unfortunately, ICES has received several fraudulent verifications and thus puts into question the reliability of these sources. As a result, new clients are requested to arrange for official documentation directly from the university that awarded their credential. If documentation has already been received via one of these services it will be re-verified by ICES (which will cause a significant delay) in order to continue with your evaluation.
G.P.A Notice – In order to complete a Comprehensive Evaluation that includes an overall grade point average (G.P.A.) applicants will need to supply marks for all courses taken including failed and pre-improvement marks (original marks cards and/or transcripts) for each examination or course attempt. Applicants that do not provide this information will receive a modified Comprehensive Evaluation report without a G.P.A.
ICES can only evaluate credentials that are specified by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The UGC website provides a list of approved specified degrees [PDF]. ICES provides recommendations for comparability to MBA for some Post Graduate Diplomas. It is important to note that we strictly adhere to the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) authority. Special instructions for Punjab Technical University graduates:
ICES requires all graduates and former students of Punjab Technical University (now I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University) to requisition official confirmation of their studies. These documents must confirm the dates of study, mode of study, and the awarding of the final degree. Applicants may also choose to have copies of their academic documents attested by I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (formerly Punjab Technical University) and then arrange to have them sent directly to ICES.
Special instructions for Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences graduates:
ICES requires all graduates and former students of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences to requisition official confirmation of their studies. These documents must confirm the dates of study, mode of study, and the award of the final degree. Applicants may also choose to have copies of their academic documents attested by Rajiv Gandhi University and then arrange to have them sent directly to ICES.
Post-Secondary institutions that cannot be evaluated by ICES:
ICES has suspended all evaluation requests for applicants from the institutions below. With the exception of a few institutions noted with an *, the restrictions are not campus or branch specific but rather apply to the institution as a whole, regardless of where it might be located. ICES has insufficient and inconsistent information regarding their status. Many of the institutions below may still hold University Grants Commission (UGC) of India recognition, but have been included in this listing. The factors leading to inclusion in this listing may include, but are not limited to, non-compliance, lack of quality measures, previous identification of sub-standard education, and institutions linked directly to fraudulent practices. ICES reserves the right to reject requests for evaluation from these institutions due to these reasons. Post-Secondary institutions that cannot be evaluated by ICES
ICES has suspended all evaluations requests for credentials from the institutions in the list below. Although many of the institutions on the list may hold Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan recognition, they have been included for a number of factors. These factors may include, but are not limited to, lack of quality assurance standards, previous identification of sub-standard education, operation of campuses/institutes without HEC approval, regulatory measures taken by the HEC against the institution, and fraudulent practices.
