Student and Campus Services
Distance & online learning students are eligible to borrow materials and to receive services from the BCIT Library. The Online Catalogue is available via the Web to help you discover the resources that BCIT Library has to offer. There are a number of Electronic Resources that will bring information to your desktop. Just be sure to follow the instructions for Off-Campus Access.
To have Library materials delivered to you, call us at 604-432-8370 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. For research assistance, call the Information Desk at 604-432-8371 or Ask a Librarian. If you would like to consult with the Subject Librarian for your program, look for the contact information on the Library webpage. You can also chat live with a librarian to get answers to your research questions.
For more information please refer to the Distance & Online Learning Guide.
Get your BCIT ID card
Your student number by itself enables you to claim student services. The BCIT ID card is optional for distance & online learning students. However, it could be worth acquiring if you plan to be on campus from time to time. It is also proof of eligibility for student discounts.
As a paid-up member of the BCIT part-time studies community, you are eligible to take advantage of many of the Institute's Student Services whether on campus or not. And when you are on site at BCIT, Campus Services are there for you. You can learn about BCIT services for students from the Life at BCIT pages.
