BCIT Event Marketing Associate Certificate

A special package of courses for those who wish to fast-track a career in the area of Event Marketing or for those who have academic credentials such as degrees or diplomas in non-marketing areas and wish to gain additional certification as well as job related skills in this field.

Event Marketing is becoming a much more sophisticated discipline as corporations recognize the need to integrate events into the traditional marketing mix. It is currently a multi-billion dollar industry in North America.

This program will be of interest to individuals seeking enhanced knowledge and training in this specialized new and growing field. In addition, anyone seeking employment in the many facets of the industry; corporate and shopping centre marketing departments, advertising agencies, charitable organizations, community relations departments, sport, community events, entertainment, attractions, and the arts, will also be attracted to the program. Furthermore, the program will appeal to individuals responsible for event marketing activities within their job and looking to expand their knowledge in the field.

Program Entry

Program declaration

To determine if the courses you intend to take will be applied towards a credential you must declare your program. This ensures that BCIT is aware of your intent to complete the program as it is currently outlined.

Program declaration enables you to declare a program of study and outline the courses you plan to complete to meet the program requirements. Program declaration also provides the opportunity to apply for transfer credit. Upon approval, a confirmation letter will be mailed to you outlining your program of study.

To declare your program, please submit the Part-time Program Declaration form [PDF]. This form is also available at Student Information and Enrolment Services. Please allow approximately six to eight weeks for processing.
