This course introduces the enthusiast to sheet metal fabrication and repair techniques. The student will learn to shape, shrink, and stretch sheet metal used in vintage year automobiles, then apply the techniques learned in a typical shop environment.

This course introduces the enthusiast to the unique processes required to weld heavier gauge body panels found on vintage year vehicles. The student will learn to heat, cut, weld, braze and shrink using oxyacetylene. The student will also learn to weld on replacement and rust repair panels using the gas metal arc (MIG) welder.

This course introduces the enthusiast to the equipment and techniques used to apply / shape various types of fillers used in the auto body trade. The student will learn to mix, apply and sand polyester fillers. The student will also learn to use various fibreglass repair materials. (0 Credits)

This course introduces the enthusiast to the equipment and techniques used to prepare a vehicle for refinishing. The student will learn to analyse vehicle surface, sand surface in preparation for paint, and apply undercoats to vehicle surface. Coverage includes mask techniques.

This course introduces the enthusiast to equipment, materials and techniques used to refinish a vehicle. The student will learn the application of conventional style paints as well as the application of waterborne products in a state of the art spray booth. Prerequisites: ABOD 0133
