Actual business plans compiled by, and aimed at, entrepreneurs seeking funding for small businesses. Presents sample plans taken from businesses in the manufacturing, retail and service industries that serve as examples of how to approach, structure and compose business plans.

A comprehensive collection of Industry Market Research and Industry Risk Ratings.

Simply Analytics
A tool for creating maps (Canada) and statistical reports on demographics, consumer spending, daytime population and compiling lists of Canadian businesses with key information such as number of employees and revenue.

Statista
A source for statistics, reports, visualizations, consumer survey results and industry studies from over 18000 sources on over 60000 topics.

Social innovation inspires serial entrepreneur and BCIT alumna Madeleine Shaw

Have you ever used phrases like “crimson wave”, “Aunt Flow”, “Code Red” or “time of the month” to describe menstruation? This euphemization (there are 5,000+ euphemisms according to a recent study) is symptomatic of a society’s discomfort with the topic. But times are changing, thanks to social innovators like BCIT alumna Madeleine Shaw, co-founder of Lunapads, which manufactures reusable menstrual products.
