Advancing to the foundational phase of our ERP (Banner) transformation

We are sharing an update on the Strategic Plan deliverable “Submit Business Case for ERP (Banner) Transformation to Board for approval to create a modern digital experience for students, faculty, and staff.” This work supports our commitment to catalyze digital transformation at BCIT.

Central to our Digital Transformation Strategy is the move to Banner SaaS, the modern, cloud-based version of our core student, financial, and human resources platform. On June 30, 2026, the BCIT Board of Governors approved moving forward with the foundational phase of this initiative. This approval reflects the significant collaborative effort that has taken place across the Institute over the past several months.

Over the next 18 months, the focus will be on building the institutional, procedural, technical, and data foundations on which all future Banner SaaS work will depend. This will prepare BCIT for the broader transformation ahead and position us for long-term success as we continue modernizing our systems and processes.

Modernizing our core systems is a critical step in advancing BCIT’s Strategic Plan and ensuring we can continue to meet the evolving expectations of students, employees, and key partners. We are building a stronger institutional foundation that enables more connected, efficient, and consistent ways of working across BCIT, while improving the overall experience for the people we serve.
