BCIT appoints Naveen Jit as Associate Dean, Automotive and Trades Access

BCIT is pleased to announce the appointment of Naveen Jit as Associate Dean, Automotive and Trades Access within the School of Transportation.

Naveen brings more than a decade of experience as an educator, curriculum developer, researcher, and leader at BCIT. Since joining the Institute in 2014, he has made significant contributions across automotive programs, including Automotive Service Technician and Operations, Motorcycle Foundation, and Collision Foundation. His work has focused on developing engaging, industry-relevant curriculum that prepares students for success while aligning with evolving industry requirements and educational standards.

Throughout his career, Naveen has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovation, research, and academic excellence. He has played leadership roles on numerous institutional and national committees, including serving as Chair of the School Research Committee and Co-Chair of the Agile Quality Committee.

His contributions have advanced transportation research, microcredential development, scholarly activity, international collaboration, and the integration of emerging technologies such as augmented and virtual reality in teaching and learning.

Naveen is widely respected for his collaborative leadership style, strategic thinking, and ability to bring people together to achieve common goals. His commitment to supporting student success, continuous improvement, and deep understanding of the automotive sector will be tremendous assets as he leads the Automotive and Trades Access areas.
