Morgan, a proud BCIT alumna, holds a Marketing Management diploma from BCIT, along with a Master of Arts in Tourism Management from Royal Roads University, and a Doctor of Education from the University of British Columbia. Her doctoral research focused on the role of instructors as first responders to students in distress, reflecting her ongoing commitment to student and faculty wellbeing.
Prior to joining BCIT, Morgan held a range of leadership and consulting roles across British Columbia’s tourism and cultural sectors. She served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Arts and Cultural Guide to BC and as General Manager of LinkBC, a provincial organization connecting tourism and hospitality students with industry. In these roles, she led large-scale events, developed sector-wide resources, and was the lead author and editor of Intro to Tourism and Hospitality in BC, a resource used by students across the province.
Her consulting work has included copywriting and content development for organizations including Tourism New Westminster, Destination British Columbia, and BC Lodgings and Campgrounds. She is also a WorldHost certified trainer, supporting service excellence across the tourism sector.
“I’m thrilled to bring my expertise in marketing, branding, design, and print, as well as my post-secondary leadership experience to work with the passionate, creative professionals in this department,” said Morgan. “I can already feel the DAMD magic!”
Born and raised in Vancouver, Morgan brings both local insight and a collaborative leadership approach to her new role. As Associate Dean, she will lead and support programs that prepare students for careers in digital arts, media, and design. These fields continue to evolve at the intersection of creativity and technology.
