I am sharing an update on the Strategic Plan deliverable “Create a digital strategy that articulates the institute’s digital aspirations, identifies system and skillset gaps, and provides a multi-year roadmap.” This work supports our commitment to catalyze digital transformation at BCIT.
To date a draft Digital Transformation Strategy has been produced. The key digital transformation accomplishments that BCIT will focus on will be in the realm of AI, where we have launched the largest implementation in North America among higher education institutions using Microsoft Copilot.
We have also made a decision to make our Banner Transformation central to the Digital Transformation Strategy and taking active steps to make that a reality for BCIT. We hope to share updates in 2026.
