Implementing the next phase of service management toolsets at BCIT

I am sharing an update on the Strategic Plan deliverable “Implementing the next phase of modern service management toolsets, expanding from IT Services to Human Resources and AV Services for employees,” that supports our commitment to catalyze digital transformation at BCIT.

IT Services collaborated with Human Resources (HR) and Audio Visual Services (AV) to automate their workflows into Service BCIT this year, streamlining access to their services for employees and students.

Through Service BCIT, IT Services has reduced the average time to resolve issues by an average of 76%, even as demand has grown 19% year-over-year.

With the integration of HR on June 30, 2025 and AV on July 3, 2025 to Service BCIT, the vision of a true one-stop location for all services and support is expanding – now offering more than 20 additional requestable services. This integration will help enhance productivity and improve workflow efficiency across BCIT.

We encourage the community to visit service.bcit.ca for any ITS, HR, and AV support and services.  Additional departments, including Educational Technology Support (ETS), Safety, Security, and Emergency Management (SSEM), and Respect, Diversity, and Inclusion Office (RDI) will be joining soon.
