Industry and student projects
The Industry Sponsored Student Projects program is ideal for companies and organizations looking for skilled talent to support a technology project. ISSP runs three times a year (in September, January, and April). Students from BCIT’s technology programs are available for a wide range of projects, including: DevOps, networking, web development, mobile development, scripting/IT, games, AR/VR, machine learning/algorithms/research, and much more. Industry partnerships and research opportunities
The Applied Research Liaison Office (ARLO) provides a wide range of support services and guidance to companies as well as BCIT faculty, researchers, and students. ARLO helps facilitate solutions to industry challenges, creates beneficial partnerships and practical learning opportunities for students, assists BCIT faculty and researchers with their research programs, and supports commercially relevant new technology products and applications. 3D printing, media production, graphic design, and production services
MediaWorks@DTC is a makerspace production facility offering drop-in help to all students, faculty, and staff across BCIT. Support and consultation is available for 3D printing, virtual reality development, audio/visual production, graphic design, large format printing, podcasting, presentation design, and more. Makerspace staff are available for one-on-one and group consultations to support entrepreneurs interested in product development. Contact Mediaworks.
Peer learning
The Learning Commons offers free one-to-one peer and group support services to all BCIT students. Peer tutors can help you build your skills and succeed in business, media, and technology programs. Contact Learning Commons.
Research and information services
A wide range of services are available to support the development of lifelong learning and digital literacy for business and technology professionals. Expert staff are available to provide one-on-one consultation and workshops; and specialized collections, databases, research guides, and learning resources are available to support industry and market research, funding, business planning, and entrepreneurial skills development.
