BCIT appoints Krista Lambie as Senior Director, Student Success

BCIT is pleased to announce that Krista Lambie has been promoted to Senior Director, Student Success, effective August 11, 2025.

Krista joined BCIT in 2021 as Associate Director, Student Life, and has since led several key areas including the Student Life Office (including Health Promotion, Entry and Transitions, Student Conduct, and Early Assist) and Recreation. She has been instrumental in launching BCIT’s first Academic Integrity Working Group, chairing the CARE Team, and advancing the Student Wellbeing Action Plan.

Krista began her career as a certified teacher, with experience in special education, which continues to support her approach to post-secondary education. Krista holds a Master of Education from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Education from Brock University.In her new role, Krista will provide strategic leadership across the Student Success portfolio, which includes Student Financial Aid and Awards, Student Wellbeing and Accessibility, Student Housing, Student Life, and Recreation. She will lead the development and implementation of initiatives that foster student engagement, belonging, and wellbeing. This includes advancing the Student Wellbeing Action Plan, supporting the growth of student housing and residence life, enhancing trauma-informed and equity-based support policies, and strengthening cross-campus collaboration.

In collaboration with key campus partners, Krista will also manage BCIT’s response to serious student crisis situations, ensuring students receive timely, coordinated, and compassionate support.
