Burnaby, April 18, 2017 – After a rigorous vetting process, the BCIT Bachelor of Interior Design program has been granted their official Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).
With this accreditation, BCIT joins other esteemed post-secondary’s across Canada, the US, and around the world. This respected accreditation is an important step in the process for Interior Design graduates who are working towards their Registered Interior Design (RID) designation. In BC, earning an RID designation signifies that the successful candidate has the required education, exams, and experience to practice as a professional.
“We are pleased and excited to be awarded CIDA Accreditation,” says Bachelor of Interior Design Program Head, Tiia Manson. “CIDA accreditation gives our graduates and future employers across North America the confidence that this BCIT program provides the skills and knowledge needed for real-world practice in Interior Design.”
