Campaign Winner Announcement
BCIT’s October Cyber Security Awareness Campaign was designed to educate and empower BCIT faculty and staff to recognize and report phishing attempts. Through training, simulated phishing emails, and interactive sessions, the campaign aimed to increase awareness of cyber threats like phishing, smishing, vishing, and malvertising. By encouraging proactive learning and reporting, the campaign strengthened BCIT’s defenses and promoted a safer digital environment for everyone in our community.
We thank everyone who participated in our Cyber Security Awareness campaign! We’re thrilled to announce that the campaign has concluded, and we have our raffle contest winner. Congratulations to all for helping to create a safer digital environment at BCIT.

Testimonial:
“I recently had the opportunity to participate in cyber security awareness training, which was valuable and provided me with a deeper understanding of the importance of cyber security in our daily operations. One of the most significant takeaways for me was learning the differences between phishing, smishing, vishing, and malvertising, as some of these terms were new to me. This knowledge has already proven useful in accurately identifying potential phishing emails, as my department deals with many external queries. The training gave me the tools to recognize and report phishing attempts during our internal anti-phishing education campaign. I highly recommend the training to anyone looking to enhance their cyber security awareness.”
Thank you again to all faculty and staff who participated in the campaign!”
