2025 campaign winner
BCIT’s October Cyber Security Awareness Campaign is designed to educate and empower BCIT faculty and staff to recognize and report phishing attempts.
Through training, simulated phishing emails, and interactive sessions, the campaign aims to increase awareness of cyber threats like phishing, smishing, vishing, and malvertising.
By encouraging proactive learning and reporting, the campaign strengthens BCIT’s defenses and promotes a safer digital environment for everyone in our community.
Congratulations to our Cybersecurity Awareness Month Winner!

We’re excited to celebrate Susan Hart, Systems Coordinator in the Students-Registrar’s Office Division, as the grand prize winner of our Cybersecurity Awareness Month raffle.
Susan shared her thoughts on the sessions:
“I’m so glad I attended these sessions as they were eye-opening and very practical. We learned how easy it is for AI to create deepfakes and fake personas and were provided with tips on how to spot them as well as strategies for keeping our personal information private. We also learned how BCIT is incorporating AI into the work we do, and how we can utilize these tools responsibly to increase efficiency. I especially enjoyed the interactive Q&A sessions with the Cyber Security team. I hope to attend more sessions in the future.”
