SUMMARY:Equity in Contracting 3.0
DESCRIPTION:Building on the energy and impact of Equity in Contracting 2.0\, Equity in Contracting 3.0 continues the work of strengthening pathways to leadership\, ownership\, and equity in the skilled trades. \nIn 2026\, we are once again bringing together women and gender-diverse trades workers\, contractors\, industry leaders\, and allies for a powerful day of connection\, learning\, and collective action. Equity in Contracting 3.0 deepens the conversation\, moving beyond access and entry toward sustained leadership\, business growth\, and systemic change within the contracting and construction sectors. We have an exceptional panel moderated by Priya Hartley Anderson\, Owner of Rockwood Electrical and including: \n\nChantel Sinnott of Sinnott Electric\nPenny Gotto of GreenVista Contracting \nSasha Kassis of Wildeside Construction \nMahara Gibson Zeinoun of Princess Plumbing \n\nParticipants can expect: \n\nInsightful discussions led by experienced trades leaders and changemakers\nPractical strategies for navigating contracting\, leadership\, and entrepreneurship\nMeaningful networking rooted in community\, solidarity\, and shared purpose\nCelebration of achievements that continue to shift what leadership in the trades looks like\n\nGrounded in the same spirit of collaboration that defined 2.0\, this event reinforces a clear message: when we invest in equity\, mentorship\, and collective leadership\, the entire industry is stronger. \nEquity in Contracting 3.0 is proudly supported by the BCIT ConnectHER Hub\, alongside valued partners and industry champions committed to creating safer\, more inclusive\, and more equitable futures in the trades. \nREGISTRATION CLOSED – We are now at capacity\, please contact Anna Lary if you have any questions. \nLooking to connect\, grow\, and lead in the skilled trades?\nExplore upcoming opportunities through the ConnectHER Hub and follow @bcitconnectherhub on Instagram to stay connected and inspired.
