Emphasizes the skills necessary to manage effectively in a technology based organization. Emphasis is placed on the issues of leadership and the skills required to do an effective job which include how to improve performance by giving constructive feedback, how to give and receive effective information, how to handle disruptive behaviour, and how to provide positive recognition.

Upon successful completion, the candidate will be able to:
define what leadership is in the context of an organization or group.
define at least four leadership traits and qualities and their impact on individuals and groups.
demonstrate knowledge of effective management models.
differentiate between leadership styles and how they apply to the followers' development levels.
demonstrate appropriate leadership styles in case situations.
discriminate between and demonstrate appropriate responses to giving constructive feedback, giving and receiving information, handling disruptive behaviour and giving postiitve response.
