Upon successful completion, the candidate will be able to:
describe the goals of financial management and explain what measures can be used to decide how well the firm's management does at achieving them.
explain the financial performance of a company as conveyed by a series of its financial statements.
analyze a firm's performance in respect to its ability to meet sudden cash demands.
describe the major sources of funds available to either small, medium or larger corporations.
estimate a firm's degree of operating leverage and financial leverage to predict a firm's profit behaviour as its sales change.
describe some strategic options available to management that will help a company take advantage of and/or cope better with changes in the firm's revenue levels.
create a basic business plan that predicts a company's state of affairs in the near future.
analyze cash needs and plan an investment strategy.
