This course will provide learners with a broad overview of how and why railway organizations operate the way they do. As a future employee it is required you recognize the key priorities and challenges of any railway and the roles that management and operations play within the company. Ultimately, you will practice decision-making and leadership skills needed on the job.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Identify revenue and key operating performance indicators, and the challenges Railways monitor;
Identify fundamental components of management: planning, organizing, leading and controlling;
Evaluate the railway's organizational structure and traits of effective leaders; and,
Examine railway front line operations conflict and steps to manage it.
