Enables you to appreciate the types of data that are collected into functional databases, how the data are synthesized into management information and how this information can be integrated into the strategic decision-making process. Helps you understand current business practices for strategic information technologies, microcomputing, digital communication, image processing, relational database, artificial intelligence, graphics, voice process, CASE, CAD/CAM, open systems, and EDI. You will be able to prepare and deliver effective oral and written presentations to management, while working with your project team to achieve common objectives.
Course registration restricted to students registered in the Bachelor of Business Administration Program. BBA students requiring course approval, please call the Degree Programs Administrator at 604-432-8609. This is a hybrid version of OPMT7740. Mandatory in-class sessions will fall on the following Mondays: September 10, 17, October 15, 29, November 19, December 3, 17. The remainder of the class will be run via D2L.
