Course Details

This course covers principles and applications for quality system audits, process audits and product audits, internal audits within the company and external audits at suppliers. Auditing terminology, planning, staffing and staff training, scheduling, reporting, using audit results and date. Techniques for handling different types of human reaction at all levels. Auditing standards in common use. Preparing for audits by major customers or agencies. This course will help candidates prepare for the ASQC CQA examination.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:

  • Define quality auditing in terms of company, customer and vendor needs.
  • Provide quality auditor with fundamental concepts and conduct of quality auditing.
  • Use the three basic audit types in internal and external applications.
  • Appreciate the planning and work elements for a typical Quality Assurance audit system.
  • Differentiate between the ISO and other series of standards in auditing.
  • Understand the 7 Tools of Quality.
  • Be able to conduct library research in the field of Quality.
  • Get auditing training to prepare for the ASQ CQA examination.
