This course is designed to be a bridging course, enabling students to enter the Business Operations Management Program through Advanced Placement or transfer from a different program. This course may also be taken as make up only for course OPMT 2340 Process Analysis and Design. In either case, you should consult with the Program Head for the Business Operations Management Program before registering for this course. Students will learn and apply industry standard models and analysis techniques to determine user requirements and design effective information systems including their procurement. The course focuses on application of the techniques to realistic industry related materials and prepares the student to analyze and design or redesign workplace processes and systems. Students are expected to work on homework assignments each day and every weekend. Students will need to spend significant homework time with other students in the class, particularly on the Group Project. You will not likely have time for part-time jobs, etc. Students will need a laptop computer for this course.
