Provides the opportunity to pursue a particular area of interest in specialty nursing. You and course tutor determine the learning intentions, activities and evaluation strategies for the course. For further details, contact the program head in your chosen specialty. Requires program head approval to register.

As licensed health care practitioners, all learners will practice in accordance with professional standards of practice throughout the course. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
Establish a specific area for study related to your area of practice.
Determine realistic and tangible course goals.
Collaboratively engage with the course instructor to develop a learning contract which includes appropriate learning strategies.
Determine suitable evaluation strategies in collaboration with the course instructor.
Complete all aspects of the learning contract including the evaluation strategies.
Demonstrate critical reflective thinking, professionalism, and scholarly writing in course activities.
