COMP 2253 - SAP Crystal Reports Advanced

Computer Systems Part-time Studies Course

School of Computing and Academic Studies

Course Details

This hands-on workshop continues on from COMP 2252 and explores the advanced features of Crystal Reports. Students who already know how to use Crystal Reports formulas learn advanced functions and industry reporting standards. Report Optimization techniques will be discussed along with topics such as Custom Functions, Shared Variables, Arrays, Ranges, Repository Items, SQL Commands, Mapping and Advanced Charting. Discussions continued from Comp 2252 focus on how to present data for efficient and effective decision making. By the end of this course, successful participants will know how to use SAP Crystal Reports to write advanced formulas with functions, variables and looping structures, pass variables from sub-reports to main reports and write SQL expressions that talk directly to databases. COMP 2252 and COMP 2253 are both electives in the Applied Computer Applications Associate Certificate, ACA, and the Applied Data Analytics Certificate, ADAC. COMP 2253 will be offered one last time starting Dec. 2, 2017.
