In this course, students learn to install, configure, manage, and support an Active Directory (AD) network infrastructure using the Microsoft server 2016 platform. Course topics include upgrading and migrating Windows Servers, Domain Controllers, Group Policy objects, Certificate Services, Federation Services, Web Application Proxy, and Active Directory Rights Management Services. Practical lab exercises support the theory presented in class.

The delivery format for this course has changed from in-person/in-class to ONLINE DELIVERY. No class on Monday, October 12th (Thanksgiving Day) and Wednesday, November 11th (Remembrance Day). CITX 2200 is part of the Network Administrator Technician Associate Certificate program and can also be taken as a stand-alone course. Note: BCIT reserves the right to cancel courses. Configure Group Policy processing, settings, and preferences
Install and configure Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS)
Install and configure Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS)
Implement Web Application Proxy (WAP)
Install and configure Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS)
