Course Details
This course introduces technologies that allow networks to scale. A review of switching technologies including VLANs, Dot1q, and inter-VLAN routing provides the foundation to explore spanning-tree and link-aggregation. A review of IPv4 and IPv6 routing fundamentals provides the foundation to explore Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing (EIGRP) routing protocols. The course provides insight into the deployment of wireless LANs within a campus. Included is a review of managing licensing and images. Participants are expected to have Cisco CCENT level knowledge and skill set. Students must have access to a Windows based multi-media computer.
The delivery format for this course has changed from in-person/in-class to ONLINE DELIVERY. Students MUST have successfully completed CITX 2060 - Cisco CCNA Level 2 in order to register for CITX 2061 - Cisco CCNA Level 3. No textbooks required. Students will have access to the Cisco Net Academy online study materials. Approval is required for this course.
