The goal of this course is to teach students how to produce a journalism portfolio website with audio and video, and be comfortable working with content management systems and various media-hosting solutions. The focus of the course is to build on students' journalism skills by enabling them to post their own work.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
Build a static website using Fireworks and Dreamweaver.
Distinguish between the various audio and video formats used on the web.
Convert audio and video into different formats.
Distinguish between delivery methods like streaming, progressive downloads and download.
Construct a basic leader for their portfolio.
Upload and maintain a journalism website/portfolio.
Be familiar enough with html/code to embed multimedia in a variety of formats, podcasts etc. into a website.
