Effective business decisions begin with a sound understanding of the analytical techniques and methods used to make sense of the data underlying the business. This course increases students’ expertise in the mathematical and quantitative analysis methods used to perform Business Analytics in a real-world setting. Students will gain increased knowledge of quantitative methods for decision making, including forecasting, hypothesis testing, choice models, optimization, regression modelling, and break-even analysis, and will learn to use these tools effectively to solve complex analytical problems. Students will perform choice of tools, selection and manipulation of data, and presentation of complete solutions in a quantitative analysis project setting.
