To support you and your education, BCIT is adapting applied learning in formats appropriate to the unfolding global situation. Spring and Summer PTS classes are being delivered in an online format unless you are notified otherwise.
This supplementary course will provide additional development training for students that have participated in ASTP 4530 Advanced Engine Management Systems. Engine Management theory will be reviewed and connected with shop exercise to further develop the student's capacity to achieve the ASTP 4530 course objectives. Successful completion of this supplemental course will be considered as a supplemental assignment enabling a 70% pass grade in the ASTP 4530 course.

Describe the diagnostic approach.
Describe diagnostic routines, symptoms, systems, and test equipment.
Describe engine management systems.
Test engine management input sensors.
Test engine management output actuators.
Analyze on-board diagnostic system data.
Describe new technology engine control systems.
