This course introduces the collision repair technician to weld modern aluminum vehicle bodies using MIG pulse welders. The course covers the theory of aluminum MIG using a Pulse welder as used to repair many modern vehicles using aluminum construction. Substrate preparation and equipment considerations will also be discussed. The student will learn how to set up and use MIG Pulse Welders for welding 4000 – 7000 series aluminum. Both theory and hands-on training will be applied. Training is recognized as an ICBC c.a.r. shop technician upgrade course and counts as eight hours towards your accreditation status.
