BCIT has approximately 30 health and safety committees. This number is made up of six Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees (one from each BCIT campus), approximately 20 Advisory Occupational Health and Safety Committees on the Burnaby Campus and three special interest health and safety committees (Biosafety, Radiation & Lazers, and Environmental Protection).
All members of any one of these Health & Safety Committees are provided access to, and encouraged to take, up to eight hours of related training each year.
