You will learn how to apply WordPress to complex web site designs, and how to develop complete custom themes and apply them to a WordPress web site.
This part-time, 90-hour course will be taught by experienced WordPress developers (see instructor bios) who utilize best practices in their WordPress projects. During the course, you will learn how to develop WordPress sites that handle inventory management, product management, and shipping for online stores. Additional topics include building an e-Commerce store, general WordPress security, and performance and installation best practices.
By the end of the WordPress Developer Statement of Completion, you will be able to:
- Develop a custom WordPress theme from scratch using HTML/CSS/JS and PHP
- Build a fully functional e-Commerce online store using WordPress
- Create custom WordPress plugins
- Apply existing WordPress plugins to a WordPress website
- Use caching to improve WordPress website performance
- Utilize industry best practices to create secure WordPress installations
