Dual Credit

Looking to get an early start on your trades career? Depending on which school district you’re in, you may be able to take BCIT trades programs while still in high school by taking a dual credit program. more

Discovery

Not sure what trade you want to enter? Try your hand at up to 20 skilled trades in these 16-week programs. It’s like the BCIT version of a test drive, and there’s a program specifically for women. more

Foundation

Know which trade you want to enter? Foundation programs cover a single trade. By the end, you’ll be ready to work, registered with ITA, and can come back to BCIT for further training. more

Apprenticeship

If you’re already working in a trade and are registered with ITA, talk to your employer about enrolling in BCIT’s apprenticeship training programs. It’s the best of both worlds since you’ll be working while you learn. more

Co-op

Looking for work experience and a diploma to hang on your wall? Co-op provides you with relevant industry work experience while completing a full-time diploma program. more

Technician

Looking to develop a specialized skill? Technician programs will equip you with the theoretical and practical skills employers value. more

Trades Access

If you lack entrance requirements for trades training, or are required to take a trades pre-entry test for your program, the Trades Access department provides pre-entry testing and academic upgrading to prepare you for your program.
