SUMMARY:Applied Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) Microcredential Online Information Session
DESCRIPTION:It is the lack of knowledge of what 3D printers can do that has inspired this microcredential. The Applied Additive Manufacturing Microcredential provides hands-on training in additive manufacturing (3D printing)\, design for additive manufacturing (DfAM)\, reverse engineering\, and rapid prototyping. This industry-focused program prepares learners with practical skills needed for modern digital and advanced manufacturing careers.\nStudents begin with Introduction to Additive Manufacturing\, where they learn core 3D printing technologies\, materials\, and processes\, as well as real-world applications across industries such as aerospace\, healthcare\, and product development. This foundation enables learners to understand when and how to apply additive manufacturing effectively. \nThis course is designed for all industries wanting to understand what 3D printing can do for them; mechanical engineering\, manufacturing\, interior design\, medical industry (prostetics\, nursing\, dentistry)\, artists\, for example. \nRegister for this online information session to find out all the details of this offering. We look forward to seeing you on December 2 at 5:00 pm.
