DESCRIPTION:Join us virtually on Wednesday\, June 10\, 2026\, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm for an online Info Session and learn more about the Fish\, Wildlife and Recreation program.  Faculty and students will be available during the session to answer questions and share experiences and details about the program and courses. \nPlease register using the form below. \nTurn your passion for the natural world and conservation into a career. \nThe FWR program provides students with relevant and practical hands-on learning through field labs\, classroom and online learning experiences. Learning outcomes are aligned with current needs of government\, the conservation and stewardship community and private industry. \nWhy Choose FWR? The FWR program has undergone significant updates in the last few years to incorporate new technology\, skills and knowledge to ensure it aligns with industry expectations for the knowledge and field skills graduates need to be successful in this field. \nThe updated FWR program has been accredited by the College of Applied Biologists for the Registered Biology Technologist (RBTech) designation and there are several pathways students can take following graduation from FWR to obtain further education that allows them to pursue a Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) designation. We have multiple transfer agreements in place with other institutions across the country who recognize the value of FWR graduates and are excited to offer further education opportunities. It’s a welcoming introduction\, complete with a dinner buffet and opportunities to network and settle in. \n⚡️ Saturday\, June 6th\nExperience a full\, high-impact conference day centered on growth\, confidence\, and connection. Through a mix of keynotes\, interactive workshops\, and honest panel conversations\, the day explores authenticity\, leadership\, and what it means to take space in the skilled trades and STEAM. The program is designed so that comprehensive instructions are followed by a series of assignments and practical projects to give you the opportunity to hone your skills. Each level of apprenticeship training builds on the skills and knowledge you acquired in your previous training. \n\n\nCabinetmaking Foundation is a 25-week full-time program preparing students for entry-level employment in the cabinetmaker trade. Basic theory and related information along with hands-on shop practice enable students to become competent in basic interior woodworking tasks. Upon successful completion of the program\, students will receive credit for their level one apprenticeship.

Sheet metal work includes the following: heating\, ventilation\, and air conditioning in residential\, commercial and industrial settings. Other specialized areas include stainless steel\, industrial exhaust systems\, architectural work and roofing. \nBeing employed in sheet metal can be both challenging and lucrative. You could be working in a shop environment\, working on a job site or both. \nJoin us in person for more information on our Sheet Metal programs.
