It is shaped by values\, decisions\, and the ability to inspire others through change. \nSPEAKERS \nMike Battistel\, President\, Cascadia Windows & Doors\nArchitectural Building Engineering Technology\, 2019 \nMike Battistel is an industry innovator and president of Cascadia Windows & Doors who has led his company to earn over 50 industry awards and a top 10 ranking among the most innovative companies in British Columbia by BC Business. Under his leadership\, Cascadia has become known for Net Zero Building Technology and for developing some of the highest environmentally sustainable performance building envelope products in the industry. A proud BCIT alumnus of the Carpentry and Architectural Building Technology programs\, Mike has hired over 400 BCIT graduates and volunteers on the BCIT Alumni Association board of directors. \nAndy and Jessica Nguyen\, Co-founders\, Bak’d Cookies \nAndy and Jessica Nguyen are the sibling co-founders of BAK’D Cookies\, a Metro Vancouver brand built on resilience and complementary entrepreneurial leadership. Launched during the early days of the COVID pandemic\, the business emerged when Jessica’s post-graduation plans shifted and Andy\, then a teenage baker\, turned his passion for food science into opportunity. Together\, they combined strategy and creativity to grow BAK’D from home-baked batches into a beloved cookie brand. Jessica leads business strategy\, branding\, and partnerships\, while Andy drives product development and operations.
