International Mobility Fund (IMF)
Funding opportunity available for Canadian post-secondary institutions.
For more information please review the Faculty Mobility Program info sheet [PDF].
These activities promote global competitiveness, recognition, and experiential growth for individuals and the institute, to keep our educational offerings current.
Individual applicants from any of BCIT's six schools, Applied Research, and the Learning and Teaching Center (LTC) are eligible for funding up to a maximum of $5000 per application, including submissions for collaborative projects and/or initiatives. An equitable allocation of funding of $10,000 each fiscal year will be disbursed to each BCIT School, Applied Research, and LTC.
The Institute has also expanded the eligibility of applicants to the IMF to include specialized faculty within the Division of Student Services (i.e. including Library Services, etc.) for the Spring 2018 and Fall 2018 application schedules. In recognition of this expanded eligibility, the Institute will allocate a one-time lump sum of $10,000 to the IMF for distribution to the Division of Student Services for the fiscal year of April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019. Individuals will be eligible for funding up to a maximum of $5000 per application, including submissions for collaborative projects and/or initiatives.
Distribution of these funds is determined semi-annually by an adjudication committee consisting of representatives from each school, Applied Research, and LTC, and the Division of Student Services. Candidates will be notified of the outcomes within two weeks of the committee meeting.
