Overview

International Student Entry is a pathway to allow international students to enrol in Flexible Learning Programs at BCIT.

ISEP – Flexible Learning Programs

Flexible Learning Programs are academic programs which lead to certificates, diplomas, degrees and master’s degrees.  They are designed for course-by-course self-registration with a recommended minimum of 9 credits every term (fall, winter, spring/summer) to hold full-time academic status for international students.

English Proficiency

Students must demonstrate a level of English proficiency of English 12 (50%) or an equivalent, such as IELTS Academic (6.0 overall), Duolingo English Test (105) – See how to meet BCIT’s Flexible Learning English Proficiency. This ensures that all students will have the opportunity for success in their chosen courses and programs.

Entrance Requirements vary program to program. Check your selected Flexible Learning Program ‘Entrance Requirements’ page for details.

BCIT also offers Technical Academic English (TAE). TAE gives students the communication skills that they need to meet the English requirements of Full-time (Regular Credential Programs) and Flexible Learning programs. If you do not meet the English requirements for your academic program, apply to Technical Academic English to upgrade your English skills.
