You are eligible to live in long-stay accommodation at BCIT Student Housing if you’ve been accepted into a full-time, cohort-based program that is longer than 16 weeks. You can request to live in an all-male, all-female, co-ed, or gender-inclusive suite, and also an academic/quiet or social/active suite.

There are accessible suites available for students with disabilities. Please let us know if there are any related functional requirements that would assist us in the room assignment process on your application form.

First year students how to apply:

You will be able to apply online for housing once you’ve been accepted into a full-time program. The link to our online application form can be found in your acceptance letter on your my.bcit account under ‘my communications’. Click on the link that reads “BCIT Student Housing Information and Application Form” in your program acceptance letter. Log in with your BCIT student number and password. If you have any difficulties accessing the form, please contact us and be sure to include your full name and BCIT student number.

On-campus accommodation is limited and not guaranteed. The BCIT Student Housing long-stay operation is geared primarily to students in programs that start in September and end in May, however vacancies may occur throughout the year for those students whose programs start at other points in the year.

The deadline to apply for the fall term (September) is June 1st to be considered in the selection process. If you are accepted to your program after June 1st, you may still apply to live in housing, however you will be added to our wait list.

Returning students how to apply:

Summer and September 2020 housing applications for continuing students will be available in-person at the Housing Office (SW11) on Wednesday, March 25 at 5:30 p.m. These applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to room availability.
