work experience

Mr. Hamidreza Talebi is an Instructor and he used to be a Security Consultant with over 10 years of experience in security architecture. His experience includes work with multiple vendors and open-source technologies in firewalls, routers, switches, servers, SIEM, and designing network security policies and strategies, in addition to major server operating systems.
Hamid holds a Master of Science in Network Security from the Iran University of Science and Technology. His certifications include CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), LPIC1 (Linux Professional Certification Program), MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional), SPAA-T2000 (Siemens), ACE( Palo Alto), Meraki (CMNO), AWS Fundamental and is a licensed member of ACS (Australian Computer Society Inc.).
Prior to joining Bell, Hamid worked as a senior system administrator for the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity (CIC). He designed and implemented a honeynet for the CIC and created a large IPS/IDS dataset over AWS for the CSE. As a security consultant with Bell, he has been working in developing strong information security architectures with an Agile Project Management delivery methodology and assisting in the development of client IT and security strategies. Currently, at BCIT, he is teaching Enterprise Network Security and Advanced Network Security.
